The modular Barcode system is a universal platform for assisting with stocktaking in large, medium and small stores and warehouses.
The core application for conducting stocktaking and creating reports.
An application for generating reports from a number of stocktakings.
The software is fully web-based and multi-workstation which decidedly accelerates stocktaking preparation, execution and billing. In addition, the system can work with a wide range of external systems thanks to highly flexible data import and export.
Transmission between modules is coded using VMPC and RSA encryption methods. Users must enter their login and password to access the stocktaking module, and individual module functions are available depending on a user's authorisation. Use of the scanner module requires the stocktaker's ID number, entered either via keyboard, or by scanning the employee's name tag using a barcode scanner.
The modules were developed using a Microsoft .NET Framework platform, ensuring compatibility with other Microsoft Windows systems, including XP, Vista, 7 and 2003 or 2008 Servers. The modules require installation of platform version 3.5. The system uses a Microsoft database platform, versions SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008.Hardware security
The software is protected by Alladin HASP keys from attempts at illegal copying or use. These keys are prepared uniquely for the software developer and cannot be replaced with others. The key is required for the correct functioning of the stocktaking and repository modules, and must be connected during module startup and operation. Without the key the software operates in demo mode, which does not provide access to full programme functionality.
This is designed to work with Motorola MC1000 devices which have the Microsoft Windows CE 5 system and .NET Framework 2.0 installed. The module communicates with the stocktaking module via computer using an ActiveSync module (for Windows XP), or Windows Mobile Device Center (for Windows Vista/7).Stocktaking Module
This module is compatible with thermal printers which use the language ZPL II, and which communicate with a computer via a COM port. It is also compatible with Zebra printers using firmware versions X.10 to X.13. The stocktaking and repository modules require an active HASP key.
The minimum system requirements for the stocktaking module are:
